Welcome to the new look CatN hosting! With the launch of the new site CatN enters a very exciting period of development with the addition of new products and the hardening of current ones.

I will continue to post on the progress of vCluster development, but in the mean time let’s take a look at the the new site.

pCluster

A new product has been added to the site, it’s called pCluster and is a custom hosting solution that we will System designer snap shotdesign to perfectly suit your needs. You can find pCluster in top navigation bar along side vCluster.

The pCluster contact form has a great new System Designer that let’s our clients visualise their system design, and help us deliver exactly the system they need.

You can read all about pCluster on the product pages.

Community

A new community section allows WordPress users to download plugins and themes developed by CatN. This section will soon be expanding, with the release of the new vCluster, to allow user submission.

vCluster of the monthA new vCluster of the month competition has been launched. Each month we scour the sites hosted on our system and pick our favourite for the month. We judge on design, functionality, innovation, and usability with each month focusing on a specific area.

If you want us to consider your site next month, make sure you head over to the community section and follow the instructions.

Support

The Support section has been entirely revamped with improvements in all areas of this section.Support header

The Guides page has been ordered more clearly and by category, making the task of finding the right guide much quicker and simpler.

The same can be said about the Glossary page which is now clearly ordered alphabetically and much easier to navigate with the search options.

The Blog!

The new blog is my favourite section of the site. We’ve gone to town brining as much functionality as possible without cluttering the interface.

This involved producing some plugins such as the ‘Collapsable Archives’ and the ‘Author Bio’. Using block headers separates the posts clearly and aids navigation of categories for the user.

Working on any site is an iterative process, and with the launch of the new vCluster system we will be updating the site to reflect any changes. Now that we have reached a milestone from which we can move forward we can focus on great content, such as guides, and making the CatN experience improve every day.

As always let us know what you think of the new design and any other comments you might have!
