Where is your blog?
Our blog is on the main navigation bar of the CatN site. We like to blog about the technical side of our hosting platform, as well as plugins and themes that we think will help you get the most out of your website.
What happens if my site goes down?
Our system is extremely stable and secure, however, no hosting company can guarantee 100% uptime. Because we are realistic we have extremely fast recovery procedures set in place. As soon as a site goes down, we receive internal reports and have our tech team available 24×7x365 to return your service to normal. We will then continue to investigate the cause of the problem and work with you taking steps to prevent the problem reoccurring.
Where is your data centre?
We own our data centre. We do not co-locate, and we are not a reseller. We have built and maintain our own data centre on site, and the tech team work literally next door, always within arms reach to carry out maintenance and ensure network performance. If you would like to have a look at our data centre please contact us, and we’d be happy to show you where your site is hosted.
Do you offer custom hosting packages?
We like to keep our pricing simple and not complicate matters by offering a range of packages with various features. We believe you should start with a base package, and then only pay for the features you actually need. However, if you feel we are missing something that you would find useful, please contact us, as we enjoy working closely with clients to build the perfect hosting package for them.
How can I make a payment?
After signing up and creating a passport, you can add payment methods through the user control panel, you can view a guide to do this in the guide section under support. We accept Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro and Solo.
How long does it take to set up my account?
Once you have entered a valid payment method your account is instantly created. You can then add your current domain, or use our free migration tool, included in the Genie toolset.
How is your network set up?
All servers are hosted in our own private data centre. We currently have diverse backhaul from the data centre to our backbone at London Docklands. At Docklands we connect to multiple transit providers and have direct peering with hundreds of network operators on the London InterNet eXchange, LINX. We live within the Fubra Autonomous System, AS35456.

What are the charges if I go over my monthly allowance?

Why do I need to give you a username and password to backup my site with Genie?
Our backup service requires no plugin or application install, all we need is a login to your blog administration panel so we can use the export function in WordPress to collect the posts, pages and comments on your site.
Do you support eCommerce?
Yes we support SSL.
Can I resell your hosting for a profit?
Yes, we allow reselling, and will only contact the administrator of the account, not the domain registrant.
