Can I resell your hosting for a profit?

At the moment we have no official reseller package. However with the higher vCluster packages you can host multiple domains and create FTP users limited to single domains, effectively creating your own hosting platform.

There is no support for reseller billing, but if you implement your own payment system there is no reason that couldn't sell domains hosted on a vCluster.

Do you support ecommerce?

Yes we support SSL, which is required for secure ecommerce.

Which version of PHP do you support?

We currently support version 5.3 only.

We continuously review new versions to check for compatibility before applying updates. If you have any questions about software support and compatibility please email support@catn.com.

How is your network setup?

We currently have diverse backhaul from the data centre to our backbone at London Docklands. At Docklands we connect to multiple transit providers and have direct peering with hundreds of network operators on the London InterNet eXchange, LINX.

We live within the Fubra Autonomous System, AS35456.

How can I make a payment?

After signing up and creating a passport, you can add payment methods through the user control panel. Alternatively you can add a payment method during the vCluster creation process at control.catn.com.

We accept Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro and Solo.

Do you offer custom hosting packages?

We like to keep our pricing simple and not complicate matters by offering a range of packages with various features.

We believe you should start with a base package, and then only pay for the features you actually need. However, if you feel we are missing something that you would find useful, please contact us, as we enjoy working closely with clients to build the perfect hosting package for them.

Alternatively we can build a custom dedicated solution for you that integrates numerous solutions such as Private Cloud, High Availability and Replication. Check out the pCluster product pages.

Where is your Data Centre?

Our Data Centre is at the CatN Offices in Aldershot, Hampshire, UK. The Tech section of the web site has extensive information about how our Data Centreis built and connected.

Our Data Centre has been built and is maintained with the following values.

  • We own our data centre.
  • We do not co-locate, and we are not a reseller.
  • We have built and maintain our own data centre on site, and the tech team work literally next door, always within arms reach to carry out maintenance and ensure network performance.
  • If you would like to have a look at our data centre please contact us, and we’d be happy to show you one of the locations your site is hosted.

What happens if my site goes down?

Our system is extremely stable and secure, however no hosting company can guarantee 100% uptime.

We are realistic so have developed extremely fast recovery procedures. As soon as a site goes down, we receive internal reports and have our tech team available 24×7×365 to return your service to normal. We will then continue to investigate the cause of the problem and work with you taking steps to prevent the problem reoccurring.

If a global error has caused your site to go down, we will post updates in the CatN Control Panel and from our Twitter feed. If the problem is local to your vCluster you can submit a support ticket and Engineer will respond within 48hours.
