UPS

In order to provide a platform for PHP development, the CatN data centre is protected by two UPS’s (Uninterruptible power supply), that continue to provide power to the data centre, in the case of a power failure or isolation from the grid, until the backup generator automatically operates and takes over supply.

The UPS are manufactured by Riello. We make use of the MDT4000P which is a three phase UPS for running heavy (industrial) equipment, and is monitored 24/7 by our data centre monitoring system, and during grid isolation tests.
