CatN employs 21 cameras to cover all aspects of our data centre, access and offices, internally and externally, including the main entrances, grounds and plant. Our cameras are full 360 degree pan, tilt and zoom capable allowing us to eliminate blind spots throughout the building.
All cameras are made by Axis, and all but one are capable of at least 1-megapixel resolution. Our automated lighting system ensures video capture in the event of a break in, and the external cameras record in night vision.
Our camera system has been continuously developed and tested over the last year and a half, and although our site is heavily monitored and secure, we will continue to develop our infrastructure.
Security of your data is vital so we have taken measures to protect our camera network in the case of a power outage. All the PoE cameras are powered by a UPS protected feed and by our automated backup generator.
Camera footage is recorded to an IPCorder, housed in an isolated and access controlled area of the building. The IPCorder unit offers web access so our security technicians can access and view live footage from every part of our site at any time of the day.
Our key storage point is covered by a close up profile camera, allowing us to view and log every person gaining access to secure areas. These images are stored on 4TB of storage in the isolated IPCorder.
